Vertebroplasty - Learn More

What is vertebroplasty?

Vertebroplasty is a procedure that is used to bring pain relief and stabilization to persons whose vertebrae have become weakened as a result of a tumour or osteoporosis. This is achieved by injecting a biocompatible material into the weakened vertebrae.

Why should I get vertebroplasty?

Vertebroplasty bolters weakened vertebrae. Many patients also experience lasting pain relief.

How do I prepare for the procedure?

The procedure will be preceded by a visit to the clinic where you will be seen by the interventional neuroradiologist performing the procedure. Here, you will receive detailed information on how to prepare, such as do's and don'ts.
