What is Angiography?
Angiography is a procedure which allows the neuroradiologist to examine the flow of blood to various tissues of the brain and spinal cord. It can also be used to determine the extent of pathology in blood vessels.
A small catheter is inserted inside a peripheral artery and is threaded through the artery until the area to be examined is reached. The catheter is then injected with contrast dye so that the distribution of blood may be observed.Angiography Suite
