Research Coordinator Diana is the Research Coordinator for Dr Julian Little. Diana completed an MA in religious and classical studies at the University of Ottawa. In addition to her work in the department, Diana is a counsellor specializing in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. |
Zahra Montazeri, MSc, MBA, PhD |
Research Manager Zahra Montazeri is the research manager/Biostatistician in the department of Epidemiology and Community Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She received her undergraduate and Master's degrees from Iran, and her Ph.D from Carleton University, where she trained with Dr. Mojirsheibani in applied Statistics in 2007. Her dissertation is about classification with missing covariates, and her results were published in several statistical journals, two of the most prestigious being Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, and Journal of Multivariate Analysis. She started to work in the Bioinformatic lab at the University of Ottawa with Dr. Bickel as a postdoc fellow. She has since joined the Epidemiology department, starting February 2010. She developed some methods to analyze gene expression data and she has contributed to a multi-author statistical paper published in Bioinformatics, the most highly regarded bioinformatics journal. Furthermore, her recent results will appear in Statistical Applications in Genetic and Molecular Biology. |

Research Coordinator Qendresa is the Research Coordinator for the Family History Project under the Emerging Team in Genomics in Screening. She completed her B.Sc (Hon.) in Health Science at the University of Ottawa, and her M.Sc. in Epidemiology and Community Medicine under the supervision of Dr Brenda Wilson and Dr Julian Little, entitled "Family history: the assessment of risk for common complex disease: current state of evidence". |
