Medical Student Electives
Electives can be arranged for all levels of medical students in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The majority of physicians on staff will accept students for elective rotations so a variety of opportunities are available.
Students interested in participating in electives at the University of Ottawa are encouraged to contact the Undergraduate Program Director, Dr. Kelsey Crawford (kecrawford@toh.ca) for more information.
Formal clerkship electives need to be arranged through the University of Ottawa, at least 4 months in advance. Refer to the website: http://med.uottawa.ca/undergraduate/education/electives/anglophone-settings/medicine-sub-specialties/physical-medicine-rehabilitation for more information. (Note that Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is listed as a Medicine sub-specialty).
Duration: Preferably 3 or 4 weeks but shorter electives can be accommodated.
Summer Anatomy Sessions
Medical students completing a first or second year elective in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with us are invited to participate with the current residents in our Summer MSK and Neuro anatomy lab sessions. These take place each Wednesday afternoon in July. Please contact Dr. Kelsey Crawford (kecrawford@toh.ca) if you are interested.
