Size limits for emails
On the central mail server
The central e-mail server is the email system that you can access via this URL: https://web.uottawa.ca/e-mail/.
The size limit for email that you send or receive via the University central mail server is 2MB; this includes all attachments.
On the outlook exchange server
The outlook exchange e-mail server is the email system that you can access via this URL: https://mail.uottawa.ca/exchange; it's the one with the built in calendar system.
The size limit for emails that you send to, or receive from outside the university is 5 MB; this includes all attachments. E.g. an email that you send to, or receive from a hotmail account.
The size limit for emails that you send to, or receive from within the university is 10 MB; this includes all attachments.
Quota limits: space allocated for email storage
On the central mail server
Each account has 100 Mb of available space on the central mail server (the central e-mail server is the email system that you can access via this URL: https://web.uottawa.ca/e-mail/).
On the outlook exchange server
Each account has 300 Mb of available space on the Exchange server (the outlook exchange e-mail server is the email system that you can access via this URL: https://mail.uottawa.ca/exchange; it's the one with the built in calendar system).
