Catharine Robertson MD, FRCPC
Director, Faculty Development

Dr. Catharine Robertson is a child and adolescent psychiatrist whose clinical work has spanned inpatient, outpatient, and day treatment settings. She has headed both outpatient and day treatment teams.  Along with being the Director of  Faculty Development for our faculty, she is currently  spending two days per week as a CHEO outpatient psychiatrist where she continues to teach medical students and residents.

Dr. Robertson is the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). A past member of the Postgraduate Education Committee, she is currently a member of the Undergraduate Education Committee, Department of Psychiatry, University of Ottawa.  An Assistant Professor with the University of Ottawa, she has had extensive teaching experience with all levels of learners.  Dr. Robertson has experience presenting on clinical and educational topics from local to international audiences. She founded and chaired the ADHD Network of Eastern Ontario.  Dr. Robertson has sat on numerous committees including  the Faculty Wellness Advisory Committee, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa from 2000- 2007. 

Dr. Robertson obtained her undergraduate education at Queen's University and her MD at the University of Ottawa. She completed her residency partially at McGill and partially at the University of Toronto. Dr. Robertson was an assistant professor at Queen's University before returning to Ottawa where she has remained.
