Case One

Overview

Clinical history: 21 year old male presented with a chief complaint of left hand pain and weakness of 12 months duration. The patient attributed this pain to a stab injury to the hand. He had persistent neurological dysfunction in his left hand with sparing of thenar muscles since that time.

The ulnar nerve exploration was done. And the specimen obtained consisted of an elongated and fusiform rubbery tissue fragment measuring 2.7 x 0.8 x 0.6 cm.

What is the most probable diagnosis?
