About Us

The Office of Continuing Education at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine, builds on the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula to support physicians in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec for their ongoing continuing professional development. Professional development for physicians includes areas beyond clinical education that address other aspects of the practice of medicine. It also encourages physicians to use a variety of learning formats that extend beyond traditional learning settings to include small groups, self-directed learning, assessment projects and technological support tools. The Office of CE supports this diversity through programs it builds, collaboration with others who are building programs, and services such as program accreditation, educational consultation and conference planning.

We provide services to both the individual physician as well as to others who are developing programs and services.
