Centers and Services
The core members of Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology conducts multidisciplinary research in the areas of systems biology, cell, developmental and cancer biology, infection and immunity, metabolism, and structural biology. The Department is home to four University of Ottawa Research Centers and Institutes:
- Centre for Research on Environmental Microbiology (CREM)
- Ottawa Institute of Systems Biology (OISB)
- Ottawa Institute of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (OICBB)
- Ottawa Emerging Pathogens Research Center (EPRC)
Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology also supports four University of Ottawa research Resource Centers:
- Cell Biology Image Analysis Core facility (CB&IA)
- Flow Cytometry Resource Center
- Proteomics Resource Center
- Genomics Resource Center
