Deferred Registration
Once admitted in the first year, a student may submit a request for a deferred registration. This deferral may be granted under very exceptional circumstances. The request is granted or refused by the Admissions Committee.
Students admitted by another medical school and given the privilege of a deferred registration will not be considered for admission at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa as long as they maintain their deferred registration.
