Fellowships
When discussing the terms of your contract with your future Postdoc supervisor, make sure it is clear where your pay will be coming from. Many supervisors will either require or encourage that you seek your own source of funding. Even if it is not mentioned by your supervisor, getting your own funding (ex. a fellowship grant, other awards…) will be appreciated by your supervisor and is an asset for your CV. Several types of funding sources are available. Get informed about the specifications of the relevant ones well in advance:
