Biography:
Dr Shilpa V. Lad joined the section of Breast Imaging as Staff Radiologist, in the summer of 2008 after completing Fellowship in Women's imaging at the University of Toronto (2006 -2008). Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Dr. Lad graduated from Grant Medical College, University of Mumbai in 1999, Internship from Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai in 2000 and residency in diagnostic radiology from Tata Memorial Hospital, University of Mumbai, in 2003. Following her residency Dr Lad worked as Clinical Associate in Diagnostic Radiology at the Singapore General Hospital, Singapore before pursuing fellowship in Women's Imaging at the University of Toronto. Dr Lad is an Assistant Professor with the University of Ottawa. Her specialty is Breast Imaging and Intervention. Her main research and academic interest is Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Breast.
