Dr. Michel Chrétien elected Fellow of the Royal Society of London

OTTAWA, May 29, 2009 — The University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) are pleased to announce that Dr. Michel Chrétien has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London, the UK’s national academy of science. Dr. Chrétien is a professor in the University’s Faculty of Medicine and an emeritus senior scientist at the OHRI. Fellowship in the Society is recognized around the world as one of the highest honours to be bestowed upon a scientist. Dr. Chrétien is Canada’s first Francophone physician to join the Royal Society.
