Princeton’s ‘youngest-ever’ admitted to health and health policy program is one of ours
Andrew Boozary, a third year medical student at the University of Ottawa, has been granted the Princeton Fellowship Award to pursue a Master in Public Policy degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He has also gained enrolment to obtain graduate certification in Health and Health Policy (HHP) during his time at Princeton, and will be representing Canada as the youngest member in the program’s history.
Excited and humbled by the opportunity to study at the highly regarded program at such a pivotal time for Canadian and American health coverage isn’t lost on Andrew: ”I’m grateful for the support and opportunity to go down during such a defining period on both sides of the border. I think there’s a parallel pursuit in both medicine and policy to further the understanding of complex interactions between multiple systems to improve the health of both the individual and society. It’ll be an exciting decade to see what that prescription will ultimately be.”
