Dr. Morash is a 'Local Hero' for Prostate Cancer Patients
Dr. Chris Morash, assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine, is the 2011 recipient of the Local Hero Award from Prostate Cancer Canada.
Dr. Morash is awarded for his work as the Medical Director of the Prostate Cancer Assessment Centre and helping build The Prostate Communities of Practice in the Champlain Local Health Integration Network. As well, Dr. Morash is recognized as a leader in robotic surgery in the Department of Surgery’s Division of Urology, where he teaches.
Dr. Ronald Gerridzen, chair of the Division of Urology, called the honour “a testament to all the hard work” that Dr. Morash has done and championing prostate cancer for patients in the Ottawa region.
In addition to his academic duties within the Faculty, Dr. Morash is an urologist with The Ottawa Hospital.
