-
Application policy
All applications for student rotations must be submitted at least one month prior to the rotation start date; however, four months is suggested to increase the likelihood of placement. Applications for specialty rotations must be received no later than six weeks prior to the rotation start date. Students and clerks are asked to find their own preceptor if electives are less than four weeks in duration; however, ROMP can offer assistance. Credentialing and hospital privileges will be organized by ROMP for all rotations, which is why it is crucial for the applications to be submitted promptly.
-
Cancellation policy for Learners
It is unprofessional for a learner to cancel an elective or a rotation after a preceptor has been confirmed. ROMP will notify the learner's school of such unprofessional behavior. This information is clearly indicated on the Website on the ‘apply now’ page. However, unforeseen circumstances can arise. Students are then advised to consult with ROMP prior to cancellation to ensure that appropriate action is taken.
-
Cancellation Policy for Networks
Confirmation of placement depends on preceptor and community availability. The preceptor and learner will be matched within four months to four weeks prior to the start date.
