Faculty Development
New preceptors will be offered a full day workshop at most sites (Orientation for New Faculty).
The DME Office is working on developing a site-based DME Faculty Development program. Currently, the Faculty offers an extensive Faculty Development program based in Ottawa. All preceptors are encouraged to pursue Faculty Development whether with the Ottawa Faculty or any other medical institutions. To help offset the costs of lost clinical time, the University of Ottawa offers financial support to physicians attending Faculty Development teaching activities related to the Undergraduate Medical Education Program of the Faculty of Medicine.
