Abstract Editing Circle
AIME's Abstract Editing Circle (AEC) provides a forum of mutual support for uOttawa medical education researchers, helping them to more effectively compete for podium time at prominent national and international meetings. The AEC is an annual offering by AIME, usually starting in November.
The AEC comprises three monthly instructional meetings. Each meeting is presented by a different noted speaker, and meeting topics relate to writing effective abstracts and understanding the processes of conference review committees. AEC participants develop their abstracts over multiple drafts through a process of peer exchange and editing and through feedback from senior Canadian medical education scholars who act as mentors.
